Ralliart Italy is searching for drivers to follow in Benito Guerra's wheel tracks with the launch of the new Ralliart Italy Cup for 2013.
Guerra won the Production Car world championship this season with Ralliart Italy and is targeting a step up in performance for next term, while his team wants to unearth drivers with the talent to emulate the Mexican’s achievements.
Subject to FIA approval, the Ralliart Italy Cup will be contested over six rounds (Portugal, Greece, Italy, Germany, France and Spain) with drivers also eligible for the Group N cup section of the new FIA WRC-2 Championship
Ralliart Italy, which ran 6 Mitsubishi Lancers used for the Pirelli Star Driver programme in 2009 and 2010, will prepare and maintain latest 2012 PWRC-specification Lancer Evolution Xs for a fee of 250,000 Euros for the six-event season and provide a number of supporting services.
Bruno De Pianto, Ralliart Italy boss, said: “After we sealed our third world title in four years ( 2009 - 2010 Araujo ) and 2012 with Benito at Rally de Espana, we’re hoping to continue working with him and give him the next step on his career ladder, but we’d also like to provide drivers looking to make their mark on the WRC with the most cost-effective option possible to drive a 4WD car of PWRC-winning standard on six European events for 250,000 Euros and see if we can find any more champions in the making.”
