Helicopter neergestort;
"following an extensive search for the missing helicopter in the Central North Island, this morning the wreckage was located- and discoverd that there were no survivors.

Pilot Chris Barns and passenger Kim Austin went missing on Saturday, following a flight from Taupo to TePuke.

Barns and Austin are wellknown for their rallyxpliots with Barns most recent sporting profile in Powerboat racing-playing host to the WRC driver Freddy Loix, as part of a publicity show prior to last years Rally New Zealand.

Austin was the 1992 NZ Hillclimb Champioen and well known for his long standing love of Rallying.
